Herbalife on Tuesday named as its president Stephan Paulo Gratziani, months after he joined the company.

Gratziani, who was promoted from chief strategy officer, had previously been an independent distributor for Herbalife for 32 years and joined the company in August.

The Los Angeles-based dietary supplements seller said the appointment was part of the company’s management succession planning process.

Herbalife said in a regulatory filing that Gratziani, 55, will now have an annual salary of $650,000 and will have a target annual incentive of 85% of his salary.
