Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the added 0.30%, while the index added 0.27%, and the index gained 0.04%.
The best performers of the session on the were Zalando SE (ETR:), which rose 1.85% or 0.39 points to trade at 21.45 at the close. Meanwhile, Siemens Energy AG (ETR:) added 1.69% or 0.20 points to end at 12.00 and Merck KGaA (ETR:) was up 1.09% or 1.55 points to 144.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Siemens Healthineers AG (ETR:), which fell 1.09% or 0.58 points to trade at 52.60 at the close. Vonovia SE (ETR:) declined 1.07% or 0.31 points to end at 28.54 and Fresenius SE & Co KGAA O.N. (ETR:) was down 1.02% or 0.29 points to 28.07.
The top performers on the MDAX were Stroeer SE (ETR:) which rose 3.27% to 53.75, SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which was up 2.98% to settle at 60.55 and Delivery Hero AG (ETR:) which gained 2.50% to close at 25.01.
The worst performers were Tag Immobilien AG (ETR:) which was down 1.38% to 13.20 in late trade, Stabilus (ETR:) which lost 1.28% to settle at 61.70 and Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 1.07% to 21.28 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which rose 2.98% to 60.55, ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:) which was up 2.81% to settle at 6.81 and Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which gained 1.84% to close at 24.40.
The worst performers were Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 1.99% to 34.00 in late trade, Nagarro SE (ETR:) which lost 1.52% to settle at 87.45 and Siemens Healthineers AG (ETR:) which was down 1.09% to 52.60 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 386 to 240 and 39 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 0.45% to 13.54.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.42% or 8.85 to $2,074.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.14% or 0.10 to hit $71.67 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.04% or 0.03 to trade at $77.12 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.03% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.10% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 100.90.
