Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the rose 0.11%, while the index climbed 0.08%.
The best performers of the session on the were Sanofi SA (EPA:), which rose 0.56% or 0.50 points to trade at 89.76 at the close. Meanwhile, Hermes International SCA (EPA:) added 0.42% or 8.00 points to end at 1,918.80 and Compagnie de Saint Gobain SA (EPA:) was up 0.41% or 0.27 points to 66.66 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teleperformance SE (EPA:), which fell 1.53% or 2.05 points to trade at 132.05 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (AS:) declined 0.85% or 0.22 points to end at 25.68 and Renault SA (EPA:) was down 0.65% or 0.24 points to 36.91.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Voltalia SA (EPA:) which rose 3.99% to 10.42, Solutions 30 SE (EPA:) which was up 3.25% to settle at 2.67 and Elior Group (EPA:) which gained 2.73% to close at 2.93.
The worst performers were Clariane SE (EPA:) which was down 3.14% to 2.40 in late trade, Valneva (EPA:) which lost 2.20% to settle at 4.72 and X Fab Silicon Foundries EV (EPA:) which was down 1.83% to 10.18 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 287 to 235 and 100 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.42% or 8.85 to $2,074.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.15% or 0.11 to hit $71.66 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.04% or 0.03 to trade at $77.12 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.00% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.10% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 100.89.
